So 2019 draws to a close, and what a year it has been for us all at 67 Degrees. From welcoming new team members and clients to moving into a new office and collecting several awards along the way, 2019 has seen it all and we couldn’t have done it without the hard work of our team and the continued support of our customers, family and friends.

2019 has been one of our best years to date at 67 Degrees and in this article, we’ll take a look back at 10 key moments that helped put together another fantastic 12 months. This year we’ve seen both our customer portfolio and team headcount continue to grow as we prepare for an exciting future into next year and beyond.

However, before we set both eyes looking forward, let’s take a moment to look back and savour some of our favourite moments from the year just passed.

March: Auto Industry Excellence Awards

The first event on the automotive awards calendar, the Auto Industry Excellence Awards saw seven of our customers make it through to finalist status with the opportunity to win their respective awards across four different categories.

Arguably a major highlight of the night from a 67 Degrees perspective, was seeing five of our customers be in the running for the Dealer Website Excellence award. We take a great amount of pleasure in the work we produce alongside our customers so it was with a huge amount of pride that we saw Targa Florio Cars named overall category winners, whilst Big Motoring World and Tempest4Cars both received highly commended status.

Outside of the Website Excellence awards, Big Motoring World’s Peter Waddell took overall honours in the Dealer Principal Excellence category, whilst in the Used Car Retailer Excellence category West Malling Garage received Highly Commended status whilst George Kingsley was awarded finalist honours in the Prestige Used Car Retailer Excellence award.

July: SW Car Supermarket goes live

One of our largest site launches came in July as SW Car Supermarket joined our growing portfolio.

One of East Anglia’s largest car supermarkets, SW Car Supermarket has over 1000 used cars in stock at any one time and operates over two locations in Peterborough. Naturally, a car supermarket of this scale commands an online presence to match.

Coming to us with a brief to standout whilst providing an unrivalled customer experience, SW Car Supermarkets all-new website comes equipped with a whole host of features to make the car buying experience as easy as possible.

July: Natalie joins us as Social Media Executive

July and with the arrival of summer also came the arrival of yet another 67 Degrees team member as Natalie joined us as Social Media Executive.

Looking after the day to day running of our client’s social media accounts, Natalie brings with her a real creative flair and an eye for design. With social media becoming a core pillar of a dealers advertising mix, Natalie provides valuable support for our dealers.

We must also add that Natalie makes incredible cakes and brownies and if you are a 67 Degrees customer, it’s her that is responsible for all the sweet treats that have come through your letterbox throughout 2019!

September: CarDealer Power Awards

September saw us head into the CarDealer Power Awards shortlisted in the ‘Website Provider for Independent Dealers’ category for the third consecutive year.

Previous years had seen us receive ‘Highly Commended’ status in 2017 and the overall award in 2018. This year we are pleased to say that we continued this winning streak as we were announced as winners for a second consecutive year. Taking to the stage to collect the award was 67 Degrees Account Manager, Susie Ancell.

An award that relies on dealer votes alone makes this a particularly humbling accolade to win and we thank our customers for voting for us.

October: Motor Trader Independent Dealer Awards

The inaugural Motor Trader Independent Dealer Awards saw no less than seven 67 Degrees customers make it on to the shortlist across a number of award categories, with five of those coming in the website category alone.

With the website category split over two awards, ‘Premium & Specialist’ and ‘General’ sales there was two opportunities for 67 Degrees customers to win and we were delighted to see Targa Florio Cars clinch the award in the ‘Premium & Specialist Sales’ category whilst Tempest4Cars triumphed in the ‘General Sales’ category.

Another fantastic result for 67 Degrees customers, especially so for Targa Florio Cars who picked up their third website victory after triumphing at last years Used Car Awards and the Auto Industry Excellence Awards in March.

October: Wirehive100 Awards

October’s annual fixture is the Wirehive100 awards which are designed to recognised outstanding agency talent across the South of England and this year we are proud to say that we received ‘Finalist' status in the prestigious ‘Agency Team of the Year’ category.

One of only 7 digital agencies shortlisted and placed alongside some of the industries biggest names makes this accolade a testament to the dedication and hard work of our team. This ‘Finalist’ status adds to our achievement in the same category last year, our ‘Finalist’ status for ‘Consumer Site of the Year’ and our victory in 'Rebrand of the Year' at the 2017 awards.

November: Used Car Awards

November saw another successful night for 67 Degrees customers as six dealers found themselves shortlisted across an impressive 11 categories at the Used Car Awards. Of the six, four featured in the prestigious and hotly contested Dealer Used Car Website of the Year category.

In this category, one 67 Degrees dealer converting that shortlist place into an overall victory would be SW Car Supermarket. Going live with their new website in July, their new website has already made a big impression. With a break from the norm, SW’s all-new website has a completely bespoke design which incorporates the bright and vibrant nature of the SW brand.

Packed with features, the site gives SW Car Supermarkets prospective customers a clean, clear and easy to use website that puts all information that is vital to the customers buying journey at their fingertips. Going up to collect the award on the night was SW Car Supermarket chairman and owner, Anton Khan.

December: Move to new office premises

December saw arguably one of the milestone moments in our short history. Given the rate of our growth and our continually growing headcount, we made the decision to move into new premises in Shoreham, just a few miles from where we were previously located.

With more space comes the ability to grow with new team members and brand new opportunities. Moving in during the first week of December saw for a hectic Christmas period, however, we are now fully settled in ready to put our own unique stamp on our new home.

Lookout for ongoing developments in the new year. We’re excited about what we have planned and we can’t wait to show you all!

December: Ben joins us as Front End Web Developer

As we moved into our new office, we also welcomed Ben, our new Front End Web Developer.

Ben brings him a wealth of experience having previously worked at a number of leading digital agencies and helps to strengthen our web development team which helps us prepare for an even stronger 2020. It’s great to have Ben on board with us and we all look forward to an exciting future together.

Welcome to the team, Ben!

December: Facebook Marketplace Listing Partner status

In December we would complete work with Facebook which sees us become a Facebook Marketplace Listing Partner.

Our new Listing Partner status allows our dealers to take advantage of a seamless integration which sees vehicle stock fed directly from our customers CMS to Facebook Marketplace at regular intervals throughout the day. In addition, with the ability to utilise powerful tools such as Facebook’s messenger platform to interact with potential buyers, the process of reaching prospective buyers has never been easier.

Whilst a new addition to our services, we’ve already seen some strong results for our customers and we’re looking forward to seeing further benefits into the future.

And that’s a wrap! What a year it has been.

We’ve enjoyed some fantastic moments and in addition to the above, we mustn’t forget to mention the fantastic team days we enjoyed at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and Goodwood House this Christmas.

From a product and customer service point of view, our multiple awards have validated our belief in our philosophy of providing unrivalled and award-winning customer service. Something that has also been backed up by our maintained 5-star rating across Facebook and Google.

As we all take a moment to relax over this festive period, we would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to each of our customers. We appreciate your support and we thank you for trusting us with your brands. Furthermore, we’d like to thank all of our family and friends for continuing to support us on our journey. We hope you all have a fantastic New Year and we wish you good health and happiness for the year ahead.

See you in 2020!
