The evening of the 12th October saw the 67 Degrees team take their seats at this years Wirehive100 awards, at Southampton’s O2 Guildhall.
Now into its 6th year, the Wirehive100 awards have become a prestigious fixture on the digital marketing calendar, with awards covering a number of categories from ‘Rebrand of the Year’ to ‘Rising Star’.
Designed to represent and promote the great work that agencies outside of London produce, the 2017 event saw for the first time in its history, awards open to digital agencies based not only from the South East but the whole of the South Coast of England.
All finalists and winners for the event have their work judged by an esteemed panel of industry experts who review and judge each agency’s work against their strict criteria and are additionally benchmarked to industry standards, thus ensuring the credibility of the awards.
A high profile event within the industry, and attended by over 300 guests and finalists, there was strong competition from a vast number of agencies going up against each other hoping to ultimately come away with some silverware.
In a hark back to the Hollywood glory days of the 1920’s and 30’s, Hollywood glamour was very much the order of the day as guests made their way up the red carpet outside of the venue as Charlie Chaplin and Laurel and Hardy played on the big screens inside, with Mock the Week’s Alun Cochrane on hand as the evening’s host.
This year we found ourselves in the very fortunate position to be finalists in not one, but two categories; ‘Consumer Site of the Year’ and ‘Rebrand of the Year’ for our work with our client, Big Motoring World.
We had to prove to a panel of judges, how the work we had put in place was making a significant difference to Big Motoring World. We provided them with data from 2016 versus new data since their 67 Degrees website went live in April 2017.
Being a finalist for Consumer Site of the Year was a huge achievement in itself however we were thrilled and honoured to be announced as winners of ‘Rebrand of the Year’. Collecting our award on stage in front of some of the UK’s finest digital talent, was a truly humbling experience. An experience made even sweeter given the outstanding quality of work featured within the category.
The award is significant for us at 67 Degrees. Recognising a gap in the market for something a little different, specifically within the automotive industry, we take a different approach to the way we go about our business. We work closely with our clients to ensure their requirements and brief are fully understood and that the client is satisfied with what we are working together to achieve. This award reaffirms our belief in this philosophy and sets us upon an even stronger footing as we round off the year and head towards a strong and exciting 2018.
Thank you so much to every single one of our clients for helping us get to where we are now, we couldn’t have done it without you!
