It was another year of celebrations for 67 Degrees customers
And just like that, the much-anticipated Used Car Awards (UCAs) were back for another year! Attended by hundreds of representatives from the automotive industry, The Brewery in London once again played host for a night of celebration during what’s been another rollercoaster 12 months.
Organised by Car Dealer Magazine and hosted by the one-and-only ‘Wheeler Dealer’ Mike Brewer, the glittering awards ceremony is without doubt a highlight in the automotive calendar for many used car dealers up and down the country.
How does the Used Car Awards work?
But as with all these types of events, it doesn’t just happen overnight. The journey to the UCAs began back in September when nominations opened. From here, dealers and suppliers alike had the opportunity to nominate themselves or their favourite dealerships to be in with a chance of taking home a coveted trophy.
Hundreds of entrants were whittled down to a shortlist of dealers which were announced in October – and then the hard work could really start. From the shortlist of 10 nominees per category, this needed to be halved to just five finalists in each. How best to do this? Through a mystery shopping stage of course! Nominated dealers had to be on their A game to survive this stage if they were to make it through to the awards ceremony – and many of our customers did just that…
Our Used Car Award winners 2022
The event lived up to expectations for many of our customers, who went on to win an award or receive a highly commended accolade. For us personally, the icing on the cake was Wilsons of Epsom winning the Used Car Website of the Year category, beating off some stiff competition. The Surrey-based dealership was our first multi-franchise customer, and as the creators of their website, we certainly feel like a proud parent!
