Last night the very best of the motor trade descended on London for the annual Used Car Awards. A prestigious fixture on the automotive events calendar, the Used Car Awards are designed to celebrate the very best of the automotive industry.

Going into the event we were delighted to see no less than six 67 Degrees customers shortlisted across an impressive 11 categories. Of the six, four featured in the prestigious and hotly contested Dealer Used Car Website of the Year category.

Taking place at The Brewery, Central London, the awards themselves are hosted by televisions Mike Brewer of Wheeler Dealers fame and are judged by an independent panel of industry experts.

Heading into the awards evening 67 Degrees customers Rousdon Car Centre, CCS Car Sales, SW Car Supermarket and Targa Florio Cars had already received shortlist status in the Dealer Used Car Website of the Year category. Given there were only 8 shortlisted dealerships in the category it was fantastic to see 67 Degrees websites make up 50% of that contingent.

However, come the awards evening, that achievement would be bettered as going one better and converting that shortlist place into an overall victory was SW Car Supermarket. Going live with their new website with us just a matter of months ago, their new website has already made a big impression. With a break from the norm, SW’s all-new website has a completely bespoke design which incorporates the bright and vibrant nature of the SW brand.

Packed with features, the site gives SW Car Supermarkets prospective customers a clean, clear and easy to use website that puts all information that is vital to the customers buying journey at their fingertips. Going up to collect the award on the night was SW Car Supermarket chairman and owner, Anton Khan.

SW Car Supermarkets victory this year is the third straight win for a 67 Degrees designed and built website in the website category after Big Motoring World and Targa Florio Cars won the same award in 2017 and 2018 respectively.

Elsewhere across the awards, there were further successes for 67 Degrees customers. In the Best Dealership Use of Video category, Premier GT and Targa Florio Cars both received highly commended status thanks to their forward-thinking and creative approach to vehicle video.

In the Days To Sell award, it would be Big Motoring World that triumphed and this trophy would prove to be the first of two for the car supermarket group as dealer principal Peter Waddell would take home the trophy in the highly prestigious Used Car Dealer Principal of the Year category.

Big Motoring World would also be recognised in the Used Car Supermarket of the Year award receiving highly commended status alongside SW Car Supermarket.

Finally, to cap off what was an already successful night, Targa Florio Cars would have another addition to their growing trophy cabinet as they reigned victorious in the hotly competed Specialist Used Car Dealership of the Year category.
