The Brief

Not one to sit in the shadows, Car Quay wanted a bespoke website that enhanced the online buying experience for its customers. The new site needed to be visually appealing and ooze the friendly charm Car Quay customers have come to know and love.

An independent dealership, Car Quay sells quality used cars teamed with outstanding service from their marina-based showroom in Derby. They stock up to 200 vehicles at any one time, so were keen to showcase their preloved stock to the fullest.

Partnering with a website agency that could effectively and efficiently fulfil Car Quay’s brief and beyond was a must for Jamie. Enhancing the customer experience in every aspect of the business was the overriding objective; it goes without saying that selling stock is a priority for any used car dealership, so vehicles needed to be easily accessible.

User experience throughout the site also needed careful consideration, and Car Quay wanted to take their new website to the next level by integrating a reserve online function too. Business doesn’t need to stop once the showroom doors are closed!

The Results

We’ve created a website to truly reflect everything Car Quay promises to be. Warm and friendly styling touches throughout the site help to instantly engage as soon as a visitor lands on the homepage.

Cars and commercial vehicles are presented in a neat grid format to promote each piece of stock to the fullest. Responsive elements supported by subtle animation helps lure the customer to click on a particular vehicle, whilst integrated video enables the user to explore a vehicle in more detail.

All in all it’s a site that’s easy to navigate, providing a seamless user experience where customers can engage in live chat, communicate via WhatsApp, and reserve a vehicle online too. The reserve online function has proved to be an absolute game changer for the team.

Commenting on what a difference the plug-in has made, Car Quay Owner and Founder, Jamie Caple, says: “The day after the new website went live, we literally walked into the business the next morning with five deals in essence already done.
